This is my personal site. It collects as little as possible, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising. Here is exactly what happens with your data.

Chatting with Sam

Sam is an AI assistant. When you chat, your conversation is saved so I can follow up on anything worth a reply and improve how the assistant works. That record includes the messages you send (which may contain your name, email, or organisation if you choose to share them), your browser's timezone, and whether you've unlocked the side-projects area. It's stored in a Postgres database (Neon) running on my hosting provider (Vercel).

Getting in touch

If you ask Sam to pass something on, or you use the contact page, the details you provide are emailed to me (via Resend) so I can reply. You may also receive a short confirmation email. I read every message.

Your browser

The site stores a few values on your device to make it work, such as your light or dark theme choice and your chat history, so the conversation survives a refresh. There are no tracking or advertising cookies, and no third-party analytics.

Keeping and deleting your data

I keep conversations only as long as they're useful, and review them periodically. You can clear the chat from your own browser any time with the Reset button, which also starts a fresh conversation. To have the saved copy of your conversation removed from my side, or to ask what I hold, just email me and I'll sort it.
